Walks and Talks 

Wednesday 18th May - 2 mile stroll with Friends of Scadbury Park through the meadows looking for Wildlife. Meet Old Perry St Car Park 10.00am  Grade 2

Wednesday 15th June - Stroll through the long grass to see what the Burnett Moths are doing. Meet Old Perry St Car Park 10.00am. 2 miles Grade 2

Wednesday 20th July - Is it a Harlequin or a ladybird? Join us for a stroll through Scadbury meadows and woodland. 2 miles Grade 2

Wednesday 17th August - Net a ladybird or bug with Friends of Scadbury and identify it up close. Meet Old Perry St Car Park 10.00am 1 mile Grade 2

Thursday 18th August - Evening walk to the moated Manor to see what bats are about. Meet Old Perry St Car Park 7.45pm. Bring a torch. 1 mile Grade 1

Wednesday 21st September - Gentle stroll through the meadows looking for Wildlife. Meet Old Perry St Car Park 10.00am 2 miles Grade 2

Guided walks through Scadbury are Suited to all ages

Saturday  15th January  -  Pond Project or Install Bench Seat(s)  -  suggest locations

Saturday  19th February   -  Maintenance of newly planted trees in area around Acorn Trail Post 4.  Finish with a hot toddy around the fire. Meet at the Tree Centre 10.00am

Saturday  19th March   - Hedge Maintenance (Old Perry Street Car Park)   

Saturday  16th April   - Family Day with Friends of Scadbury Park doing light conservation work either Clearing unwanted growth around young Oaks in Area 5,  "The Larches" or Bramble Bashing in "Fallen Oak" Meadow. Phone 01689 826535 for details. Meet at the Tree Centre 10.00am

Saturday  21st May   - Ancient Woodland Groundflora Survey in Littlewood, Bank Shaw, Park  Wood, Alder Valley and Section 1 of the Butterfly Transect

Saturday 18th June    - Woodland Furniture Repair (Fence, Bench, Gate, Hand Rail repairs)

Saturday 16th July   -   Hedgerow Survey

Saturday 21st August   - Family Day with Friends of Scadbury Park doing light conservation work Ride Management along "The Easy Access Trail" finishing with a byo snack in the "Picnic Area". Meet at Old Perry St Car Park 10.00am. Phone 01689 826535 for details (suitable for wheelchairs)

Saturday  17th September   - Collect blackberries for jam making and cut down excessive bramble

Saturday  15th October   -   Pond Project

Saturday  19th November   - Veteran Tree Maintenance in Littlewood  

Saturday  10th December   - Veteran Tree Maintenance in Littlewood
